  • As you've read from the more popular blogs, Jason Mraz is coming. Woot~ I'm so glad that I set up that booth in December and still have extra money after splurging. Sis and I are going to buy the most expensive tickets. Though it's on the week of the March tests, I'm still going. 4th of March, people~

Honestly, I didn't know who he was when Remedy and Curbside Prophet came out but I listened to those songs word for word even though I couldn't catch what he was saying. Poetry like Leonard Cohen's songs. They pinch you lightly and gets your attention until the message's delivered. The only thing is that his CDs are much more expensive. Gah!!

Jamie Cullum is one of those people in this list of mine. If Jason pinches, Jamie slaps you on your arm (playfully, of course). But I like the songs that are seldom played like 21st Century Kid and Catch the Sun. Problem is, they don't play any of his work on Malaysian radio for some reason. I smirked at Nothing I Do. Honest with class man.

Someone told me that the artists on my list all have names that start with the letter 'J'. So, next is James Morrison. Love his voice and his lyrics. Teacher V says that he reminds her of Norah Jones, you know, the relaxing, sit-down-on-a-comfy-couch kind of style. Though Under the Influence sounds like a worship song (and one of the famous ones), my picks on his CD are Call the Police and This Boy.

Three awesome artists, and tonnes of awesome songs. Visit their websites (the layouts are class 8D)!

  • Went to school yesterday to collect textbooks only to find out that I'm not allowed to collect textbooks even though I brought the only book that I forgot to return. Again, the lame-ness and idiocy of the so called systematic systems that they come up with attacked. I have to go next year to take em.

The good thing, which has nothing related to school or the people there whatsoever, is that I'm almost done with the friggin quota!!! Five more characters to go (which adds up to 15 in total). I'm excited and a little anxious because I'm not sure how the sales will go. Hopefully the booth decor and merchandise is attractive enough. People eat cute at conventions... that much I know.

Mom let me sit out her Christmas party this year. Phew... Now I can finish up booth stuff. Yay~ On another note, check out ze gallery for the updated stuff. See, even if you're a Science student, you can make pretty things too!

This Christmas is awesome. I got the Springfield jacket I wanted so badly and for half-off for that matter. Family has (the whole family... like all ten uncles and aunts) have been so supportive with my art. I got to hang out with the people I like and got high with sakai-ness. It has certainly been awesome so far.

Let's not be like normal teens talking about next year's SPM or whatever... Live a little. The world is so massive la. It's not only school and tuition... tuition and school. Bleh. Don't be clouded by all the nonsense the school admins and stress yourself out. You stress yourself out, don't let them do it to you.

    Merry X'mas, people~

  • I'm sick again... Seriously, flu, cough, fever. The works. I don't mind having a fever but I despise getting the flu. It's really annoying because I don't carry tissue around and I don't like having a runny nose (who frickin does?).

Went to Nicole's house today. Her house is seriously cold. Really, you don't need to have an air conditioner or fan on rainy days. Anyway, nothing much done, sadly... But the problems have been solved by late afternoon. We're rushing because CF is 2 weeks away.

Today, I shall prove Finn wrong... About his "theory" on guys when shopping. Some girls, like you, shop... just like you. I get bored pretty easily when shopping with my sis and mom. The agony of waiting for them to pick something and try it on. You have no idea. It's not that bad till all the curse words known to man comes out la... Maybe just the cramps part. XD

Solution: Shop alone (unless with friends) or run away when on outing after awhile.

  • Don't Touch Anything...

That was what the doctor advised me to do; which is no help when I have to finish the clay art. I'm proud to say that I'm half way through, though there's no reason to announce it because I don't think anyone cares except mom and Camel (since he sometimes read this blog... it's an assumption) and I.

Anyway, it isn't anything deadly... just viral. Yes, that's very reassuring, isn't it? For three days, I was in front of the television with a diet of whole meal bread, fruit, veggies and other grains and drinking a lot of H2O. I think I watched Hairspray 4 times. It wasn't hell-ish... just depressing.

Reading Nicole's blog, I feel like a pitiful little child because something cool happened to her during the 3 days I was couch-ridden. I'll spare you the details and promote her blog. *grins* I'm just rambling because I want to keep typing after being temporarily quarantined from touching anything. Can't think of a better way to put it. You sick children... XD

Random: I think I curse more in real life than online. O__o But I'm the same sarcastic and sakai person in both er... worlds. *rolls eyes* I'm not sick. You should see Jason... Yes, I'm pointing fingers. Nyeh!

So the cooking camp people want me to continue to help out. Gar... I'm just worried a little but since the itching, blisters and ulcers are gone, I think it'll be okay. At least that's what mom says. To be honest, I'd rather take care of stampeding, noisy but not bratty kids than to just sit on the couch all day.

Random#2: I found that a lot of people visit the Jason and Ka Chun (sp?) on the table post. Wth! I have no idea why... Visit the 'gigantor' Spongebob post people!

  • The first day of Young Chef's Camp always start slow. I didn't know why but I felt somewhat positive about the thing this year. Every year I dread for this programme because I don't really like to work with kids. Maybe I've come across so many spoilt brats that I've developed this feeling of dislike towards them.

So, we organized ice breaking games first. We played the memory name game; which went so horribly slow because the kids were shy at first, and Pictionary. Yes, Pictionary. Of course we came up with the words which have something to do with cooking and it's 'All Play' all the time. Some of the pictures they drew were so funny. XD

There was this five year old girl who drew just a circle for the word tomato. The group went wild guessing - fishball, egg, ball... And there was this group that said peach and persimmon. I didn't even know that they knew what persimmon was. I wish I'd taken pictures of their drawings.

This week, they're making pastries. So there was the fruit tartlet and cream puff. The kids found out that you need a lot of muscle to create in the kitchen. Funny to watch.

    Poo shaped cream puffs.

Mr. Diligent. And he's only 11.

    Spreading ze sakai-ness

The hardest part, I think, was to keep them entertained when they had to wait for their turn to use the machines. You know, so that they don’t wander off and play with sand and rocks and what not.

It’s funny how easy it is to entertain kids with something simple. You don’t have to worry whether or not it’s lame because what kids’ think funny is is different than what adults think is funny.

So there was the “There’s Something in My Hand” game where some of the kids thought that there was nothing in them at times; which was true… at times. But to stir things up a little, I told them that I said there was ‘something’ in them and ‘nothing’ is not ‘something’. I think I confused them. XD The answer was thin air…

    Tea setting.

    More monkeying around.

On the second day, they only played one ice breaking game; which was something random sis and I came up with. We stuck on stickers on the walls and asked them to find as many as they could. As planned, they turned the room upside down. Later, they had to use the stickers to make a picture. The result? Only the cupcake looked like the cupcake. XD

    Rolling pins.

Lucky for the kids, it was Ying Ho's birthday. Cake and KFC!

That's how they are in real life. Blab, blab, blabble...

Cheers! for a successful first week of camp.
